It was February 29, the day the woman could ask the man for his hand in marriage. The poor woman would have had a better chance of asking a dingo to give the paw. “Isn’t it about time,” she suggested, “that we might think about getting married?”

“Hold on a while,” replied the man. “What’s the point in getting hitched when we already have a durable relationship? I puts up with you and you puts up with me.”
