BRITs 2024: RAYE heads towards record-setting haul following second win of the night

Luke Evans and Marisa Abela named Bring Me The Horizon as the winners of Alternative / Rock, and it became the group's first BRIT award, although they had previously performed at the ceremony with Ed Sheeran.

Aitch and Jess Glynne were next on stage in order to hand out best R&B, and RAYE continued her dominance as the star scooped her second award of the year. What a night it's turning out to be for the 26-year-old.

It was the soundtrack of our summer, so of course we were raving in our seats when Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris performed Miracle. Ellie looked angellic in her daring white mini-dress and the dance scene on stage reminded us of all the sweaty nights in clubs we spent dancing to this hit!

Do you love a bit of Jungle? Well, Green Day certainly do and two of its biggest members were thrilled to award Jungle the Best Group at tonight's awards.

And it's the first award of the night! Presenting Best Song was a former postmistress and the woman who played her in the hit ITV show Mr Bates vs the Post Office.

There were several nominess, but it was RAYE's Escapsim that took the gong home, and the singer looked shocked to hear the news. This is already RAYE's second win of the week, as she won Best Songwriter ahead of the ceremony.

What a way to start! Dua Lipa got the crowd going with her hypnotic performance to her latest hit Training Season, and she commanded all the attention in her sultry leather look and her even sultrier vocals.

We are just around half an hour away from the BRITs, and we can't wait! While 2022 and 2023 saw Mo Gilligan in the host's seat, this year we will be treated to three separate hosts, Maya Jama, Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp.
