Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 3.10%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd.(up 2.85%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(up 2.31%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(up 1.18%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 1.18%), EID Parry(India)Ltd.(up 1.15%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.12%), Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd.(up 0.71%), DCM Shriram Industries Ltd.(up 0.71%) and Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd.(up 0.48%) stood among the top gainers.
Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd.(down 2.17%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)Ltd.(down 0.80%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd.(down 0.64%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 0.58%), Rana Sugars Ltd.(down 0.43%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(down 0.30%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.28%), Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(down 0.17%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 0.14%) and Mawana Sugars Ltd.(down 0.11%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 31.65 points up at 21982.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 195.42 points at 72500.3.
Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.07%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.9%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.78%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.62%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.62%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.59%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.22%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.19%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.18%) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.99%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 4.1%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 3.42%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.02%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.85%), UPL Ltd.(down 1.31%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.94%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.9%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.84%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.82%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.58%) closed in the red.
