New Delhi: The fans’ beloved Korean drama star – Song Joong Ki, is back for another exciting drama, this time taking place in North Korea.

In the forthcoming Netflix film, My Name Is Loh Kiwan, Korean star Song Joong Ki is expected to wow viewers once again. This family drama, directed by Kim Hee Jin, follows a Korean man as he fights for his life in a strange place. Exciting plot points abound in this 2024 Korean film adaptation of – I Met Loh Kiwan, a book written by Cho Hae Jin – winner of South Korea’s Shin Dong-yup Prize for Literature in 2013.

Story Synopsis

Defector Loh Kiwan hails from North Korea. Ok Hee, his mother, is the reason he has come from North Korea to this strange place called Belgium. Obtaining refugee status from the Belgian government is his only chance for him to remain in the country, despite his desire to settle down.

Later, Loh Kiwan meets Marie. She is now a Belgian citizen, although she was born in Korea. She used to be a shooter. Marie lacks a purpose in life, in contrast to Loh Kiwan, who migrated to Belgium in search of a fresh start. Despite a tense first encounter, they eventually develop feelings for one another.

Cast and Crew

Song Joong Ki and Choi Sung Eun, two of Korea’s most renowned actors, star in the Netflix original film My Name is Loh Kiwan. The character of Loh Kiwan, played by Song Joong Ki, is a defector from North Korea who is trying to get refugee status in Belgium. Marie, played by Choi Sung Eun, is a Korean shooter who is a Belgian citizen who meets with Loh Kiwan.

Lee Il Hwa, Lee Sang Hee, Kim Sung Ryung, Jo Han Chul, and many more make up the supporting cast.
