There is political chaos in the Congress-ruled state of Himachal Pradesh. The congress leadership is trying to deal with this. Amidst these crises, assam State congress Working President Rana Goswami has resigned from his post.

Rana Goswami, the former MAA of Jorhat constituency in assam, in a resignation letter written to congress General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal, has said that he is resigning from the post of assam State congress Committee Executive President and from the post of basic member of the indian National Congress.

There are reports that Rana Goswami, who is currently in delhi, will meet bjp National President JP Natta and assam Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sharma. An assam state bjp committee of senior functionaries is also in delhi to decide on the candidates contesting the lok sabha elections from assam and how many seats should be allotted to its allies.
