History was created by DILG Secretary Abalos, who headed a roundtable conversation with the Filipino-American (FilAm) creative community inclusive of the introductory Manila International Film Festival (MIFF). On February 1 this year, the significant Yamashiro Restaurant in Hollywood organized excellent Filipino legacy producers, filmmakers, actors and actresses for an emblematic night of entertaining innovation.
The Manila International Film Festival comes with an entrenched objective, i.e. to exhibit, encourage and aid in inspiring Filipino movies from the cinemas of the Philippines in Hollywood and further. Coordinators of the Manila International Film Festival attempt to link the two separate entertainment realms with the aim of zealously connecting the Philippine entertainment sector with the appeal of Hollywood. The Philippines film industry aims to transport its advantage of resourcefulness to global platforms, building a new heritage for ingenious minds.
In the course of this distinct event, The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) organized a roundtable dialogue known as, ‘shoot your next film or TV series in The Philippines!’ In the panel eminent personalities from the film and TV world were present. Tirso Cruz, FDCP Chairman along with renowned Director Joey Reyes was also existent as participants of the panel discussion.
