March is Women’s History Month, and Ron Robinson Theater got the memo with next month’s movie screenings.
There are lots of ways to honor women via film, some of which are tender, but I can’t help but appreciate the sheer epicness pulsing through so many of the Central Arkansas Library System’s upcoming selections. “The Passion of Joan of Arc”? “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman”? “Aliens”? “Kill Bill: Volume 1” and “Kill Bill: Volume 2”? The badass leading ladies in these movies aren’t messing around.
All screenings begin at 7 p.m. and cost $5, except “Easter in Art,” which starts at 4 p.m. and costs $10; “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” which starts at 8 p.m. and costs $8; and both “Kill Bill” movies, which play back-to-back at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. for $5 each. Tickets can be purchased here, and beer, wine and concessions will be sold on site. A full list of the March offerings:
