ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando International Airport’s Terminal B is back to normal operations Tuesday morning after an alleged bomb threat Monday night caused the airport to shut down the section for two hours.

The original alert for the closure went out around 6 p.m. Monday after the city of Orlando’s ‘Active Calls for Service’ website showed a call for a bomb threat in the same location as the airport, which is no longer active and showing on the site.

The Orlando Police Department cleared the area just before 8 p.m. and airport officials reopened Terminal B.

However, the two-hour closure resulted in more than a dozen flights delayed and many travelers wondering exactly why law enforcement shut down the terminal. Although, police have not officially confirmed what type of threat, if any, caused the closure.

Travelers expressed their frustration over the lack of communication from officials.

“We were sitting in traffic for about 40 minutes and she got a flight delay for 30 minutes, which we thought was average. We got here, I noticed that the police have blocked off the Terminal B parking garage, so we went to Terminal C. Still nothing from the carrier,” said Jeri Cole, a mother of a traveler.
