Panaji: A total of 17,987 students in the state are all set to answer the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination from February 28 onwards.
The exam, which is being held at 20 centres across the state, will conclude on March 18. Of the 17,987 students, 5,883 are in the science stream, 5,320 are in the commerce stream, 4,309 in the arts stream and 2,475 in the vocational stream.
Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has said the examination will begin at 9.30 am daily. Candidates have been advised to be present at the centres 45 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination.
“In the year 2023, the HSSC exam was conducted in two terminal systems. The result was finalised based on the performance of the first term and the second term exams. A total of 19,377 candidates appeared for the March 2023 exam, of which 18,479 passed (95.46%),” said GBSHSE in a statement.
