Jason Cundy WALKED OUT of the talkSPORT studios after being mercilessly mocked for Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final defeat… even by Maidstone fans.

The Blues fan, and former player, had The Sports Bar callers giving him both barrels all night.

Cundy admitted there were a thousand places he’d rather be than on talkSPORT last night, and who could blame him.

Chelsea missed out on a glorious chance to win the Carabao Cup, losing 1-0 in extra-time to an injury-hit, youthful, Liverpool.

His co-host Jamie O’Hara was absolutely loving life, encouraging the calls and WhatsApp voice notes to come in to poke fun at Cundy.

And the listeners came up with some absolute gold.

O’Hara said: “We asked for a violinist to serenade Cundy after the loss, and guess what? Someone has just voice noted us on WhatsApp doing just that.”

The Sports Bar listener said on the voice note: “Hi, I’m Ellie and I’m a Liverpool fan and I have a message for Jason Cundy.”

She then proceeds to play a sorrowful piece of music on the violin…

Cundy: “What is going on? What is happening here? What is happening here? Seriously? Is this a wind-up?”

O’Hara was in stitches and described to listeners what was going on: “He’s walking out!

“Cundy’s left, he’s walked out. It’s amazing.

“Keep your calls coming in, we’ll try and get him back.”

Cundy did eventually return to the studio, but only after a Maidstone fan, who were beaten 5-0 by Coventry in the FA Cup, was giving him some stick.

His exact words were: “You’re a disgrace to your league.”

Cundy may have needed a lie down in a dark room after getting pelters all evening.

He admitted it had not been an easy 36 hours…

“I've been waiting for this all day. Can I just say, I've had a terrible day,” he said at the top of the show.

Cundy left the talkSPORT studio!

“So I woke up this morning and I didn't want to get out of bed. I didn't want to, I just didn't want to.

“Sometimes when you have a late night and you've had a few dreams, you wake up the next morning, you just want to stay in bed. Close the curtains. Close the blinds. Just hide away from the rest of the world.

“I went back to bed. I didn't want to get out of bed. I couldn't listen to talkSPORT all day. I could not listen to it. All day I've not had it on.

I don't want to be here. I love my job and I'm very lucky, right. Jay, I can think of a thousand places I'd rather be right now than sat here. I don't want to be here.”
