Rhea Seehorn To Star In Wondery Drama Podcast ‘The Last City’

EXCLUSIVE: Wondery has lined up its latest drama podcast and it stars Rhea Seehorn.

The Better Call Saul star will feature in The Last City alongside Maury Sterling (Homeland), Jeannie Tirado (Fairy Tale Zero), Skye Lourie (The Pillars of the Earth), and Celia Rose Gooding (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds).

Weaving together elements of the climate crisis, its subsequent mental health consequences, and complicated feelings about the future, The Last City is set in the futuristic, utopian land of Pura and the brewing mystery beneath its perfect exterior.

In the climate-ravaged year of 2072, Pura stands as a miraculous green haven, a geoengineered paradise that protects lucky residents from the global catastrophes of heat domes, fires, floods, and droughts. Demetria Lopez is Pura’s PR fixer, tirelessly promoting the city’s idyllic image. But when she stumbles upon a dark secret that underpins Pura’s existence, she must decide who and what she is willing to protect.

The series, which debuts on Wondery+ on March 4 and across all podcast platforms on April 22, is written by Carmiel Banasky, who wrote for Amazon series Undone, among others.
