Regarding the Feb. 23 news article “FBI informant who allegedly lied about Biden and his son is rearrested”:

There is something awry at the FBI. Contrary to the persistent rhetoric from the former president and current Republican leader, the pattern of knee-jerk FBI behavior appears to lean against Democrats. As noted by The Post last year, the FBI resisted opening a probe into President Donald Trump’s role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot to interrupt the electoral certification. And the FBI was perhaps overly deferential during the search of Mar-a-Lago, as a result missing some key evidence. And, lest we forget, earlier there was the questionable treatment of former secretary of state Hillary Clinton in the weeks before the 2016 election. The enumerations could continue.

And now, it seems that people at the FBI leaked allegations against President Biden to the Republican wolves in Congress, who hungrily are seeking revenge (a.k.a. impeachment evidence). Like many law enforcement entities, the FBI seems to run conservative in its leanings — and as a result unintentionally (or worse) ends up supporting right-wing interests. There needs to be some serious soul-searching within the FBI as to whether it is serving the best interests of the American people.
