Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Monday at 11:15AM

Adani Wilmar Ltd.(up 4.27%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(up 2.07%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(up 1.78%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(up 1.63%), Dangee Dums Ltd.(up 1.26%), Emami Ltd.(up 1.16%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(up 0.95%), Patanjali Foods Ltd.(up 0.46%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(up 0.42%) and Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 0.27%) were among the top gainers.

Prataap Snacks Ltd.(down 2.30%), Honasa Consumer Ltd.(down 2.26%), LT Foods Ltd.(down 1.95%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(down 1.54%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(down 1.23%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 1.11%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 0.90%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(down 0.65%), Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(down 0.61%) and JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.58%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 90.46 points down at 22122.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 332.52 points at 72810.28 at around 11:15AM.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.53%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.24%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.27%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.09%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.8%), Coal India Ltd.(up 0.52%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.52%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.48%), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.42%) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.29%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 3.92%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.23%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.73%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.71%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.67%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.62%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.54%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.45%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.42%) and Wipro Ltd.(down 1.34%) were trading in the red.
