Man fatally shot on Quail Hollow Drive in Raleigh, no suspect in custody

Raleigh police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Saturday morning

At approximately 4:53 a.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 3300 block of Quail Hollow Drive.

When officers arrived, they found Jose Ignacio Marquez-Diaz, 23, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Diaz was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

This incident is now being investigated as a homicide.

No suspect has been taken into custody. This is an ongoing investigation.
