While it was considerably warmer than normal around the city and to the west today, conditions were a bit chillier to the east, especially near water. Highs locally made the mid- and upper 60s. Annapolis was in the upper 40s late this afternoon at the same time. Clouds are rather numerous through tomorrow, and some raindrops may fall.

Through tonight: Partly cloudy skies rule the night. Although we’ll see a quick temperature drop around sunset given that it got so warm today, it stays milder than it has been recently. Lows range across the 40s, with light winds from the south.

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Cloudier than not throughout the day. We’ll probably see some showers, but nothing too heavy or long-lasting — the best odds of rain are in the afternoon. Highs are mainly in the low and mid-60s. Winds out of the south blow around 10 to 20 mph, with gusts near 30 mph.

Warm into midweek: Record warm lows are at risk Wednesday morning across the area with minimums in the mid- and upper 50s expected. During the day, temperatures may reach 70 or higher, which is something that has become more common in February over time. Last year, it reached 81 on the 23rd.
