talkSPORT's Simon Jordan has told Mauricio Pochettino that he was not strong enough in response to Gary Neville on Sunday.

Chelsea crumbled to defeat in the Carabao Cup final as Liverpool claimed victory through Virgil van Dijk in the 117th minute of extra-time.

Jurgen Klopp fielded a number of academy starlets including James McConnell, Jayden Danns and Bobby Clark while Pochettino played expensive exports including Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo - both costing over £100million.

It led to Neville branding Chelsea 'blue billion-pound bottlejobs', referencing the club's £1bn transfer spend since their American owners arrived in 2022.

Pochettino responded by claiming the Sky Sports pundit was 'unfair' with his criticism and that he, too, had a very youthful side.

But talkSPORT's Jordan was not impressed with the Argentine's reply and told him he should have been more robust.

He said on Monday's White and Jordan: "I take this as a reason why I don't see him winning very much with Chelsea despite my protestation that they'd win something over the next three years.

"Not with Pochettino, I don't think. I always thought he would get them close and up the pyramid or up the table certainly.

"Neville must have been practicing that line all week with his little Overlap gang and being quite pleased with himself to get it out on air.

"Calling a team bottlejobs, you are effectively calling them cowards.
