Technopark Seeks Co-developer for New IT Building

Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction of an 800,000-square-foot IT building at Phase IV (Technocity). This project is part of the prestigious Quad project, which aims to create an integrated mini township with work, live, and leisure spaces across 30 acres.

Interested parties are required to submit technical and financial bids before 4 pm on March 12, 2024, adhering to the terms and conditions outlined in the RFP. The successful bidder must complete the building within 30 months from the date of Letter of Award (LoA), with a possible extension of up to 6 months for valid reasons.

The project emphasizes adherence to global ESG standards for energy management and environmental impact reduction, with provisions for solar rooftops, rainwater harvesting, and minimal carbon footprint. It is expected to accommodate IT office spaces, business centers, food courts, and other amenities.

The partnership between Technopark and the selected co-developer will facilitate student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and the creation of an ecosystem conducive to innovation and entrepreneurship. Notably, the project benefits from Single Window Clearance approval and stamp duty exemption, making it an attractive investment opportunity.

The proposed IT complex will be leased for the long term, providing facilities for IT professionals, shopping amenities, and residential units within the same campus. This initiative aligns with Technopark’s vision to establish Technocity as a premier destination for IT/ITES companies, with a focus on emerging technologies and aerospace.

Furthermore, the project includes the construction of commercial and residential complexes, alongside the existing IT office building and upcoming developments such as the Digital Science Park and various Centers of Excellence in emerging technologies.

Overall, Technopark Phase IV offers a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, supported by premier institutes, a robust startup ecosystem, and emerging space and aerospace industries. The RFP for co-developers presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a landmark infrastructure in Kerala’s coveted IT destination.
