American firm J.Crew has announced the launch of a swimwear line made entirely from recycled water bottles, aiming to prevent 72,325 bottles from ending up in landfills and oceans. The renowned fashion retailer has joined forces with SuperCircle, a leading textile recycling platform, to introduce the SuperCircle x J.Crew circular swim programme, marking the brand's first venture into circular fashion.

This innovative initiative not only offers consumers eco-friendly swimwear options but also provides a unique opportunity for them to participate in the recycling process.

J.Crew encourages customers to contribute to their environmental efforts by bringing in pre-loved swimwear of any brand and condition. These items can be taken to any J.Crew store or sent back using a prepaid shipping label available for download at the company’s dedicated website, J.Crew said in an Instagram post.
