talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Sunday 25 February

The EFL Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool takes centre stage on Sunday and we have picked out a long shot bet for the showdown at Wembley.

There is also a significant Premier League fixture as bottom club Sheffield United bid to upset Wolves at Molineux and Sunday's busy European schedule includes Celta Vigo's trip to Cadiz in La Liga.

Bet of the day

Celta Vigo To Win To Nil v Cadiz - 11/4

Cadiz versus Celta Vigo may not be the most glamorous fixture on Sunday's European coupon but it is a big game at the bottom of La Liga and offers a decent betting opportunity.

Hosts Cadiz start the weekend in 18th place, one spot and three points behind Celta, after a miserable run during which they have scored just one goal in eight league matches.

That solitary strike was a Ruben Alcaraz penalty in last month's 4-1 home defeat to Valencia and they cannot blame their goal drought on bad luck or inspired goalkeeping, having had just 17 shots on target in their last eight matches.

Cadiz's lack of confidence in front of goal points to a win to nil for Rafa Benitez's Celta Vigo, who won 3-0 away to Osasuna at the start of this month before conceding a 96th-minute penalty to lose 2-1 to Barcelona last weekend.

Special of the day

Bet Builder - Wolves Over 2.5 Goals & Sheffield United Over 2.5 Cards - 49/20

Poor defending and a lack of discipline are hampering Sheffield United's Premier League survival bid and the Blades look set for a tough trip to Wolves.

United were thumped 5-0 by Brighton at Bramall Lane last weekend, when Mason Holgate was sent off in the first 15 minutes, and Wolves have the attacking quality to cause them more problems.

Wanderers boss Gary O'Neil has Hwang Hee-Chan available after the Asian Cup while winger Pedro Neto has made an impressive return from injury.

Wolves have scored 18 goals in their last eight league matches, including fixtures against Tottenham, Manchester United, Brighton and Chelsea (twice), so they should be backed to rack up over 2.5 goals against the worst defence in the division.

The visitors have received 72 yellow cards and four reds in just 25 league games so complete the Bet Builder by backing over 2.5 cards for the Blades.

Long shot of the day

Luis Diaz to be First Goalscorer v Chelsea - 8/1

Liverpool are missing the injured Diogo Jota and have fitness doubts over Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez so winger Luis Diaz may have to shoulder plenty of attacking responsibility in the EFL Cup final against Chelsea.

Diaz rose to the occasion in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Luton, having a whopping 10 shots against the Hatters and scoring the Reds' third goal.

The Colombia ace has three goals in his last five league appearances, one of which came against Chelsea in last month's 4-1 win at Anfield.

The in-form Diaz also opened the scoring in August's reverse fixture against the Blues at Stamford Bridge and he looks a tempting price to be first goalscorer at Wembley.

He notched in last month's FA Cup third-round win at Arsenal and broke the deadlock in the 11th minute of the EFL Cup semi-final second leg at Fulham.
