    What's the story

Most of us wash our hair on a daily basis without giving it much thought. Our hair is more prone to breaking while it's damp and several everyday errors can make this worse. These typical washing errors can often result in dryness, breakage, and other issues. But fear not, here are some tips that you must implement into your hair washing regimen right away.

    Mistake 1

    Shampoo often

How frequently you wash your hair depends on a variety of factors, including the weather. However, shampooing too frequently can rob your hair of its natural protective oils by producing a layer of rich lather. You do not always need to use shampoo when you wash it. Using too much shampoo is also wrong. A coin-sized amount of shampoo is just enough.

    Mistake 2

    Not tangling your hair first

It is crucial to untangle your hair before you even enter the shower. By doing this, you can lessen the chance of breaking and tangling while cleaning your hair. All you have to do is grab a wide-tooth comb or a brush with soft bristles and carefully work your way up from the ends to the roots of the hair to remove any tangles.

    Mistake 3

    Applying conditioner unevenly

Conditioner gives you the soft locks you desire. However, while applying a conditioner, ensure it is dispersed evenly throughout your hair by brushing it through the ends. Applying conditioner unevenly might cause your hair to become parched and dry. In order to manage your hair and prevent frizz or flyaways, make sure to thoroughly work your conditioner into your hair.

    Mistake 4

    Not rinsing thoroughly

If you don't fully rinse your hair, you risk leaving behind residue that might cause buildup and other issues. After shampooing and conditioning, make sure to completely rinse your hair, massaging your scalp with your hands to make sure all of the residue is removed. It is generally advised to rinse your hair for a full minute following each step.

    Mistake 5

Washing your hair with hot water

Higher temperatures have the potential to damage your hair and weaken your roots by opening up and exposing your hair cuticles. When you use lukewarm water, the benefits of the products used are better absorbed and your mane is more able to absorb the moisturizing properties of your conditioner. Complete your routine with cold water to seal the cuticles and retain any moisture.
