Maddie Ziegler Soars in Height-Boosting Platform Sandals for SAG Awards Red Carpet 2024
Maddie Ziegler strapped on a pair of white-hot platform sandals for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The rising star selected an undeniable red carpet staple designed with a striking stiletto heel, round toe and adjustable ankle strap. With ease, the bright white pair elongated her legs and added a touch of glamour to her overall ensemble.
Strappy sandals have a historical legacy dating back to ancient civilizations. From Jimmy Choo to Stuart Weitzman, footwear brands have laid claim to the style made popular by the ancient Greek sandal design. Over time, the transformation of exquisite strappy sandals offers a range of styles in all shapes, sizes and colors.
The “Dance Moms” alum complemented the footwear with an archival Alexander McQueen creation. The dress featured an ethereal silhouette complete with flowing fringe details, an off-the-shoulder neckline and mesh paneling. Celebrity stylist Jared Ellner looked to Shrimpton Couture.
As Ziegler makes more and more red carpet appearances, her style and footwear philosophy evolve. While attending Variety‘s Power of Young Hollywood last year, she kicked back in Jimmy Choo’s “Farley” pointed-toe pumps. She may have an affinity for strappy white sandals as she was seen adorning a pair while sitting front row at Michael Kors‘ fall 2023 fashion show during New York Fashion Week.
The 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards are held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall. For the first time, the ceremony will be livestreamed on Netflix. Winners are determined by members of the SAG-AFTRA union, which includes over 119,000 performers across the film and television industry. Barbra Streisand will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
