Man charged for peeping on 16-year-old in dressing room

Garner police arrested a man they say was secretly peeping on a 16-year-old girl inside a women’s clothing store.

Garner police said they received a call about a male taking pictures of a teenager over a changing room stall on Saturday.

According to a copy of the arrest warrant obtained by WRAL News, 50-year-old Kelly Sean Jones used a cellphone to record the girl in the dressing room next to him inside Little Details Women’s Boutique in Garner.

The store's owner, Jessica Throneburg, explained to WRAL News how the teen discovered Jones.

"The young woman who the incedent happened to alerted her mom, and the mom confronted the man as he came out of the fitting room," Throneburg said.

Jones admitted to the peeping when the officers arrived.

Authorities charged Jones with felony secret peeping and seized his phone.

Throneburg said she's proud of how the incident was handled, and that customers can feel confident that safety is a priority in her shop.

"I hope that they know that we take this seriously, and that we want to think about their safety in our store," she said.

Jones’ first court appearance is at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Wake County Justice Center.
