Getafe president Angel Torres believes Barcelona would be an ideal fit for Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood.

The 22-year-old forward is currently at LaLiga club Getafe after United decided he must resume his playing career away from Old Trafford following an internal investigation.

Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour in January 2022 before all charges were dropped in February 2023.

New minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is now in charge of football operations, recently suggested the Red Devils could change their stance on Greenwood when his Getafe loan ends.

After spending more than 20 months out of action, the United academy product has five goals and five assists in 21 matches this season - and his Red Devils contract runs until June 2025.

He has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs, including Barcelona, and Getafe chief Torres believes the Nou Camp would be a suitable destination for Greenwood.
