A commis chef caught with more than €1,000 of cannabis in his home has been cleared of a drug-dealing charge after telling a court he had it to treat a skin condition.

Father-of-two Khevindra Hurkoo (37) admitted the cannabis was his but insisted it was for personal medical use for psoriasis, and he bought it in bulk “super cheap”.
