The legendary Galaxy Note series is no more, Samsung replaced it with the Galaxy S Ultra series. If you’re still holding on to a Note, now might be the best time to swap it for its successor as Samsung.com offers some heavily boosted trade-in deals.

For example, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra from 2020 normally fetches $200, but is now worth $600 trade-in credit. There’s more – the Galaxy Note8, Note9 and Note10 will get you $400 credit right now (normally, they are closer to $100).

And this might be a mistake on Samsung’s part, but it’s on the list – the Galaxy Note3 is also valued at $400. Note that this is for unlocked phones, there are carrier deals that go up to $1,000 trade-in credit (the unlocked offers top out at $750).

The Samsung Galaxy S24+ is the best S+ that we’ve seen in years with a QHD+ display and 12GB of RAM, whereas 2021-2023 model were FHD+ and 8GB. The kind of silly trade-in offers continue with this one too.

The S23+ is valued at the maximum $650 trade-in credit, while the older S22+ is $550 and the S21+ is $400. And yes, the Galaxy Note 3 still fetches $400.

If you want the small Samsung Galaxy S24, its trade-in credit is capped at $550 – that’s how much you will get for the S23, the S22 is $450. Got a Galaxy S7 edge, S9, S9+, S10, S10+, S10 Lite, Galaxy A51, etc.? That is worth $200 trade-in credit.

The latest Galaxy Tab S flagship tablets have trade-in offers in a similar vein too, plus they get a free storage upgrade.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra starts at $1,200 for the 12/512GB model (instead of 256GB). You can discount that by up to $800 if you send in a Tab S8 Ultra, for example. But older slates are more interesting – a Galaxy Tab S7, Tab S7+ or Tab S7 FE are valued at $600. A Tab S6 or Tab S6 Lite are worth $300 (normally, they are $125 and $80, respectively).

The Galaxy Tab S9+ also has 12/512GB base configuration thanks to the free storage upgrade. The trade-in credit is capped at $700. A Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8+ will convert to $600, Tab S7, Tab S7+ and Tab S7 FE to $500.

The Galaxy Tab S9 also has 12GB of RAM, though the free storage upgrade takes it only to 256GB. Also, the trade-in credit isn’t as good – it’s capped at $650, but the Tab S7 series is valued at only $350.

And while we’re looking at Samsung tablets, a couple of weeks ago the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) fell to $220 – at the time this matched the price of the Galaxy Tab A9+ and the S6 Lite has the better hardware. However, the Tab A9+ is now down to $190.

That’s a great price for a tablet that will get 2 OS updates and security patches for 4 years. However, this price is for the 4/64GB model. We would recommend going for the 8/128GB one instead as 4GB of RAM will be really tight four years from now. Unfortunately, this raises the price to $255 (the Tab S6 Lite has 4GB of RAM too, by the way).

For something higher end but still easy on the wallet, the OnePlus Pad combines the Dimensity 9000 (and old but still powerful flagship chip) with an 11.61” IPS LCD. The display has 2,800 x 2,000px resolution, 10-bit colors with Dolby Vision and 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is also equipped equipped quad speakers and a 9,510mAh battery with 67W fast charging. This is equally good as a media consumption device as it is as a work tool.

Moving over to watches, the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 is down to the $250-$300 range, depending on the size and connectivity options you want (i.e. Bluetooth or LTE).

Wi-Fi 7 is the latest local connectivity option. It operates on the less crowded 6GHz band and promises much lower latency (up to 99% lower than Wi-Fi 6). Unfortunately, router prices are still pretty high, but we’re already starting to see discounts. This Linksys Velop Pro 7 has a 2.5 gig WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports. Better yet, it supports the Cognitive Mesh system that can cover up to 9,000 sq. ft. with the 3-pack (there’s also a 2-pack option for 6,000 sq. ft.).
