Bukayo Saka politely turned down an audacious request from a kid to leave Arsenal and join... League One strugglers Charlton.

The Gunners star has seen an upturn in form in recent weeks following a drop in level compared to last season which helped him land the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

Despite a minor drop off, Saka has still shown his importance to Mikel Arteta’s title-chasing side having netted 15 goals and 13 assists in 33 games across all competitions this season.

Saka has been an instrumental part of Arsenal’s rise to title challengers whilst also playing a key role in the England set-up.

That has led to plenty of interest in the 22-year-old, none more so from across the capital, it seems.

Saka was propositioned during a recent visit to the Gunners’ academy at Hale End – the place where it all began for the star.
