Toyota has recalled the Land Cruiser LC300 in India for a software update related to the automatic transmission ECU.
According to Toyota, 269 units of the Land Cruiser LC300 manufactured between February 12, 2021, and February 1, 2023, have been affected by this recall. The carmaker will reprogram the ECU of the 10-speed automatic transmission.
Owners of the affected vehicles will be notified about the recall, requesting them to visit their nearest authorized service centre. The software update will be available free of cost. Toyota has also clarified that customers can continue using their SUVs until the software has been updated.
Customers can check if their Land Cruiser LC300 is among those recalled by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Toyota’s website. They can also contact the customer assistance centre at 1800 309 0001.
