Raleigh officer injured after being struck by vehicle in Food Lion parking lot

A Raleigh police officer was hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon while attempting to capture a suspect.
At approximately 2:06 p.m., Raleigh police officers tried to apprehend a suspect in the parking lot of Food Lion on 1100 Raleigh Blvd.
At some point, an officer was hit by a vehicle.
The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Part of the parking lot was blocked off while police investigated.
