Raleigh police have cleared a protest Thursday evening on Fayetteville Street after dozens lied in the street, calling for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war.

Close to 100 members of the Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP Triangle) staged a "die-in" protest in downtown Raleigh.

In front of the Wake County Courthouse, the group stood outside chanting and holding signs demanding that U.S Rep. Deborah Ross call for a cease-fire in Gaza.

Many of the protesters laid in the middle of Fayetteville Street, blocking traffic.

At least five people were zip-tied and arrested by police.
