Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(down 5.03%), Rana Sugars Ltd.(down 3.06%), Mawana Sugars Ltd.(down 3.02%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.85%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(down 2.48%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd.(down 2.41%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 2.35%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(down 2.34%), EID Parry(India)Ltd.(down 1.85%) and Ponni Sugars(Erode)Ltd.(down 1.70%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 162.41 points up at 22217.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 535.15 points at 73158.24.
Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 3.24%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 3.07%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.0%), Coal India Ltd.(up 2.82%), ITC Ltd.(up 2.76%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.73%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.43%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.4%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.05%) and Wipro Ltd.(up 1.86%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.86%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.37%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.23%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.16%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.88%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.79%), State Bank of India(down 0.73%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.49%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.39%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.21%) closed in the red.
