WATERBURY — There was a heavy police presence at 975 Meriden Road Wednesday night into early Thursday following a report of a “shooting incident” of an occupied car in the area.
Waterbury police Lt. Ryan Bessette said a person is in custody, but no names or charges have been provided.
There were no injuries sustained by the occupant of the vehicle during the incident, Bessette said.
Police have since cleared the scene and the roadway is open again for travel.
