Raleigh attorney charged with felony secret peeping
WRAL News on Thursday spoke with a Raleigh-based attorney charged with felony secret peeping.
An arrest warrant accuses Timothy Lyons of "secretly or surreptitiously" using an iPod "to create a photographic image" of a juvenile "underneath or through the person's clothing for the purpose of viewing the person's body or undergarments and without the person's consent."
Lyons, 31, who does not have a criminal history, turned himself in Wednesday night to the Cary Police Department. A spokesperson for Cary police said Lyons was taken into custody and charged after speaking with an officer.
According to Cary police, Lyons told officers he did not touch or harm any young people, which is reflected on the arrest warrant.
WRAL News visited Lyons on Thursday at his home, where he claimed he has never had issues with the law in the past and added he would clear his name in court.
Lyons told WRAL News that he knew the victim.
Lyons was listed as an injury attorney at the law offices of Hardison & Cochran in Raleigh, located at 7340 Six Forks Road, but his bio page appears to have been taken down.
According to Lyons' bio, he is married with five children.
Lyons was given a $5,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim referenced in the arrest warrant.
Lyons appeared in court on Thursday afternoon.
