Authorities investigating crash Wednesday on Poole Road

Authorities are investigating a crash Wednesday afternoon in Raleigh.

The crash happened on Poole Road near Sunnybrook Road.

Raleigh police said emergency crews transported the driver to the hospital with serious injuries.

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker saw one car smashed into a power pole.

Duke Energy is at the scene assessing the damage to the pole and Poole Road is partially closed at Sunnybrook Road while authorities investigate.

There is no word on what caused the accident.
