Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 11:20AM

Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 2.28%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 1.79%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.47%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 0.86%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.70%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(up 0.10%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 0.05%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.32%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 1.99%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.82%), Aries Agro Ltd.(down 1.73%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 1.71%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(down 1.41%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 1.10%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.90%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.70%) and Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.69%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 3.6 points up at 22200.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 15.55 points at 73072.95 at around 11:20AM.

Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.98%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.84%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.04%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.25%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.97%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.97%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 0.84%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.77%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.6%) and State Bank of India(up 0.58%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.76%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.66%), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.35%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.25%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.17%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.97%), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.75%), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.73%), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.66%) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.63%) were trading in the red.
