LMPD: Woman found stabbed to death in Fern Creek apartment

A woman is dead after being stabbed in Fern Creek, according to Louisville Metro Police.On Monday, LMPD Sixth Division officers conducted a welfare check at an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Chenoweth Vista Way. When they got there, police found a dead woman.LMPD's Homicide Unit investigated and determined she had been killed by a stabbing.So on Wednesday, police said the stabbing is now a murder investigation.The name and age of the woman have not been released at this time.LMPD's Homicide Unit is currently following leads.
