Inter Miami v Real Salt Lake (Thu, 1am)

Inter Miami start the new season with a star studded line up having added former Liverpool and Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez to their already impressive looking squad.

The Uruguayan will team up once again with his former Camp Nou teammates Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, as Inter Miami, led by former Barca and Argentina manager Gerardo Martino, bid for MLS glory.

Their MLS campaign last season didn't go so well for the team which David Beckham runs as President, as the Florida side finished 27th out of 29 in the overall regular season standings, and 14th out of 15 in the Eastern Conference.

Success did come to the Herons in cups though, with the club being crowned Leagues Cup champions back in August via a penalty shoot out win over Nashville, and also reached the final of the MLS Cup before falling at the final hurdle against Houston Dynamo.

Their opponents tonight in the season opener, Real Salt Lake had slightly more success in the league, finishing fifth in the Western Conference to book their place in the play-offs, but lost in Round One of their best-of-three series against Houston Dynamo on penalties in game three.

Coached by former USA international midfielder Pablo Mastroeni, the Utah side will be aiming to go further into the play-offs this time but face a tough test up first as they go up against the superteam of the MLS this season in their away match against Inter Miami.
