Farhan Khan-helmed Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh, has finally got its female lead. Taking to social media today, Excel Entertainment shared a small clip making a special announcement that Kiara Advani will play the lead role in the upcoming film.

Kiara posted on X, formerly Twitter, saying, thrilled to be part of the iconic Don franchise and to be working with this incredible team. She also said she will need everyone’s love and support as she embarks on this exciting journey together, and she added a clapper board emoji.

The director-producer of the film, Farhan Akhtar, posted a clip on X, and welcomed Kiara Adavni to the Don universe.

Meanwhile, in August 2023, with a special announcement video, Farhan announced that Ranveer Singh will play the new Don in the third installment of the popular franchise. Ranveer was seated in a building with his back to the camera in the teaser. After introducing himself as Don and lighting up a cigarette, he turned to face the camera. The role was previously portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

A formal announcement regarding the remaining Don 3 cast is still pending. There has always been an air of excitement, gripping action, and memorable moments around the Don series. In Don 2, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Boman Irani all played significant roles in the film. In 2006, Don 2 was released, which at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival took home the Best Asian Film award.

Then, in 2011, a sequel was released, and it quickly became popular. In Don 2, Hrithik Roshan played a cameo. Farhan’s directorial was a remake of 1978’s Don, featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

On workfront, Kiara Adavi was last seen in Satya Prem Ki Katha with Kartik Aryan. She will be next seen in Game Changer alongside Ram Charan. However, the film’s official release date is still awaited.

Huma Qureshi starrer web series Maharani is all set for its 3rd season. To create more excitement about the web series, the maker have today dropped the trailer of its highly awaited season. Huma Qureshi, who is playing the role of homemaker-turned-politician Rani Bharti, can be seen seeking revenge.

The trailer gives us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming season, which picks up where the second season left off. The most intriguing moments and exchanges from the series are featured in the two-minute, thirty-second trailer.

The trailer begins with a jailed and politically helpless Rani Bharti, who later emerges and this time, she knows what she needs to do to exact revenge on her enemies. In the trailer, Huma can be also seen saying a powerful dialogue in Hindi, Bandook kamjor log chalate hai, samajdaar log dimaag, which translates in English, the weak fire guns, the wise ones use their brains, which hints that this time she is fierce.

Subhash Kapoor is the creator of Maharani 3, while Saurabh Bhave is the director. The series is written by Subhash Kapoor, Nandan Singh, and Umashankar Singh. Along with Huma Qureshi Anuja Sathe, Vineet Kumar, Pramod Pathak, Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Anuja Sathe, Sushil Pandey, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, can be seen in pivotal roles. Maharani 3 will be available on SonyLIV, on March 7, 2024.

The first season released in 2021 which received positive reviews from the critics as well as audiences. The first season drew some inspiration from Bihar politics in 1990, when Rabri Devi became Chief Minister following Lalu Prasad Yadav’s imprisonment. The second season released in August 2022, which was also a similar hit.

Meanwhile, on work front, Huma Qureshi will be next seen in a film titled Pooja Meri Jaan.

Karan Johar took to his Instagram handle and unveiled the teaser of his upcoming film Yodha on Monday. He posted the video and captioned it the sky’s the limit and he’s going to cross them all. Landing straight to your screens with a BANG! Yodha is scheduled to release in cinemas on March 15.

The teaser is one minute long and shows Sidharth Malhotra fighting terrorists and hijackers mid-air to rescue passengers on an Air India flight. The action-packed teaser shows Sidharth Malhotra beating up terrorists inside what appears to be the parliament.

Many action sequences showed gunfights. Sidharth Malhotra can be seen wearing a uniform as he takes up the task of fighting hijackers and terrorists. Disha Patani can be seen playing the role of an air hostess along with Raashi Khanna.

Dharma Productions shared the teaser on its Youtube channel and wrote Brace for impact as this will create turbulence unlike any other on the screens. Packed with action and thrills, Sidharth Malhotra is all set to be Yodha. The film has been directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha and is scheduled to be released in cinemas on March 15, 2024.

Earlier the producers of Yodha had planned to release the film on November 11, 2022 but it was postponed to a release date to July 2023 which was further shifted to September 15 and then again to December 15. It was again changed to December 8. But the final release date has been set to March 15, 2024.

Talking to the media, Sidharth Malhotra said As an artist he believed he wanted to work on scripts which brought out the best in him. He said Yodha has truly unveiled a new version of himself for which he is thankful to the makers of the film. He added the amount of love he had received from the audiences and his fans was truly magical.
