MUMBAI: It was only recently that we exclusively reported that veteran actor Rituraj Singh passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was 59 years old.

Rituraj played an array of different roles in television serials like Banegi Apni Baat, Jyoti, Hitler Didi, Shapath, Warrior High, Aahat, Adaalat, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Laado 2 and recently entered Star Plus’ blockbuster show Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly. He was also seen in films such as Ashiqui, Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai, Tadap, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Satyameva Jayate among others.

Now, in an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, producer Sandiip Sikcand shared how the news of the actor’s demise has come as a total shock to him and that he is deeply affected.  

He said, “I am shocked and heartbroken on hearing the news! Someone posted the news on one of my WhatsApp groups early in the morning and since I have just been in shock. I have worked closely with Ritu in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii. He was one of the only actors who gave me a warm welcome on the show. To say that he was a brilliant actor is an obvious thing, but more than an actor he was one of the finest human beings that I know. I am really saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace and may his wife and kids get the strength to deal with this loss.”
