Deckers X Lab has announced the launch of its latest sneaker style, the Enduro Max.

Inspired by mountaineers and trail runners, the footwear lab created a versatile running pair that uses advanced materials to take on any terrain. For a light run, the Enduro Max features a super-plush nitrogen-infused midsole and a V-shaped carbon plate.

To take on steep terrain, the set’s stability comes from the superior outsole grip created using cleats built into individual pods. The sneakers also include innovative technology like Gore-Tex and Poron Pad to keep the feet dry and provide footfall control.

Global VP at Deckers Outdoor Group Jean-Luc Diard compared the spirit of the sneakers to a motorbike. “The Enduro Max is part of the first generation of ‘super trekkers’ and is about going further, farther, faster,” said Diard.

As for its physical appearance, the set takes on a heel-to-toe rocker form. Released in a low and high top silhouette, each is composed of EcoTan suede, dressed in five colorblock colorways. The high-top style differentiates itself with a padded tongue and heel area. All of the styles are completed with a hiker lacer closure and a stacked sole that brings a little more than an inch of support to the runner.
