In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, Executive Chef Richie Farina of Adorn Bar & Restaurant is hosting an exclusive four-course dinner event. Set for the evening of Thursday, March 21, 2024, this event will bring together prominent Chicago culinary figures and former hotel chefs Carrie Nahabedian, Sarah Stegner, Kevin Hickey, and George Bumbaris for a collaborative feast. Held on the hotel’s seventh floor, Adorn Restaurant is celebrated for its dedication to ingredient-driven gourmet cuisine, offering innovative flavors and presentations against the backdrop of the Magnificent Mile.

The dinner event will showcase the talents of these renowned chefs, with each preparing a dish that reflects their culinary expertise and contributions to the hotel’s legacy. The menu will feature a celebration of early spring produce, starting with Chef Nahabedian’s White Asparagus creation, complemented by a blood orange maltaise sauce, candied Meyer lemons, morels, and spring greens. The evening will conclude with Chef Farina’s Short Rib dish, accompanied by a spring vegetable “risotto” and a puffed beef tartare bite on wheatgrass, followed by a unique dessert presentation from the Adorn team. Tickets for this exclusive Seasons of Culinary Excellence dinner are priced at USD 235 per person, with an additional option for a curated wine pairing at USD 60 per person. Reservations are available via OpenTable.

Chef Farina expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting the honor of hosting a gathering that celebrates culinary innovation and the legacy of past chefs. “This event is a tribute to the exceptional talent and creativity that have defined our hotel’s culinary journey,” he remarked. “We are excited to reunite these celebrated chefs in our kitchen for a night of unforgettable gastronomy.”

The participating chefs bring with them illustrious careers and a deep connection to the Four Seasons legacy. Chef Nahabedian, with over a decade at Four Seasons hotels and now at the helm of Brindille, a chic French fine-dining venue; Chefs Stegner and Bumbaris, the duo behind Prairie Grass Cafe and veterans of the Ritz-Carlton Chicago; and Chef Hickey, a James Beard Award nominee and the force behind The Duck Inn, with a rich history at Four Seasons locations worldwide.

In addition to celebrating culinary artistry, the event will support Howard Brown Health with a portion of the proceeds, a local non-profit championing LGBTQ+ rights and providing gender-affirming healthcare. This contribution marks both the hotel’s and Howard Brown Health’s significant anniversaries, with the latter celebrating 50 years of impactful service.

The dinner is part of a series of celebratory events planned throughout the year, highlighting the hotel’s dedication to exceptional service, guest experiences, and a commitment to innovation in luxury hospitality. Previous events have included a collaboration with the James Beard Foundation and a partnership during Chicago Restaurant Week.
