There’s no escaping it, we all have birthdays.
“When we’re young we’re eager to have them,” a saying goes, “as we grow older, we’re still happy to have them, when we’re ancient, we’re grateful!”
Befitting his “can do” attitude in life, perennially young Richard Brown was gifted with a challenge recently. He and several friends were guests at an escape room for his birthday on Feb.11 — sleuthing out a number of very cleverly hidden clues to open the door to freedom.
Of course he, with some help, succeeded.
The group then headed to the Hotel Maya’s Fuego Room for a champagne toast to Richard and their freedom from the escape room. As the day progressed, more pals joined the group for some delicious dining, topped off with a delectable homemade chocolate cake. Proving his can-do attitude, one more time, he successfully blew out the (few) candles. A donation to the Steel Magnolias was made in his honor for his special day.
