Flooding (Image: Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (Official))
AN Oxfordshire fire crew helped a person trapped in a flood water in the early hours of this morning (February 18).
At about 6.30am, crews from Bicester Fire Station, Buckingham Fire Station and Kidlington Fire Station responded to calls of a person trapped in a vehicle stranded in flood water in the Marsh Gibbon area.
Firefighters wearing dry suits were quickly able to enter the water to affect a rescue of the male from the vehicle, as well as collecting his belongings.
People are being urged to take care when driving across the county today, especially in rural areas where flooding is expected.
If you get stranded in your vehicle within flood water, turn off your engine and call 999.
