Two people are dead and a child is injured after a crash involving two vehicles in Harnett County.

The crash happened around 5:20 a.m. on Saturday morning along US-421 near Raven Rock Road.

Both drivers, later identified as 19-year-old Kysheem Dayshawn Green of Benson and 71-year-old Elsa Vasquez of Angier died at the scene. Vasquez's 11-year-old grandson was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to State Highway Patrol, Green was driving a white Ford Mustang when it crossed the centerline and hit Vasquez's Honda Minivan.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
