The Department of Agriculture has confirmed an outbreak of African swine fever in George.

Small farms on the outskirts of Groeneweide Park, in George, were placed under precautionary quarantine following an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF).
On Sunday, the Department of Agriculture said the new outbreak was confirmed on 7 February, after about 45 pigs died.
