With another gut-wrenching, highly-damaging loss closing in, the Colorado men’s basketball team finally said enough is enough.

In a game dominated much of the way by USC, the Buffaloes completed a furious comeback down the stretch, rallying for a 92-89 double-overtime victory at the Galen Center.

CU (16-10, 7-8 Pac-12) rallied from a 16-point deficit to force overtime on a KJ Simpson-to-Luke O’Brien dunk with 3.7 seconds remaining in regulation.

USC scored the final four points of the first overtime to force another extra session, but the Buffs took the late advantage by scoring the first five points of the second overtime on a Simpson 3-pointer and two free throws from O’Brien.

Simpson enjoyed a monster game in his hometown, finishing with a career-high six 3-pointers, 30 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
