Dambab 11 triumphed in the 6th edition of the Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association (AGDBYA) Daivadnya Cricket Cup, defeating Bardez Warriors in the final match held at the SAG ground in Fatorda on February 11. The two-day event brought together 17 teams from across Goa, including two women’s teams.
Milind Anvekar served as the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony, while Harishchandra V. Madkaikar, was the Guest of Honour. The event also saw the felicitation of talent: 11-year-old Vidhyaat G. Lotlikar for his achievements in Yoga and Govind Lotlikar for his role as a judge at the IBBF National bodybuilding competition.
The annual Daivadnya Cricket Cup is more than just a sporting event; it serves as a platform for bringing the community together and fostering a sense of belonging. AGDBYA, known for its year-round social activities, uses the tournament to highlight its commitment to community service. Prashil Salkar, President of AGDBYA, welcomed the guests and dignitaries, offering a glimpse into the association’s diverse activities and ongoing social service endeavors. Milind Anvekar commended AGDBYA for its efforts in organizing the tournament.
