Police: Man charged with attempted murder in southern Indiana stabbing

A man was arrested and charged with stabbing a man in Charlestown, Indiana, Friday afternoon, according to the Charlestown Police Department.Around 5 p.m., Clark County Emergency Communications got a call reporting a man trying to force his way into an apartment in the 700 block of Main Street.Reports said a man was stabbed in the neck and/or face at that location.Police got there and found a man with stab wounds.They said the suspect had fled the scene on foot after the stabbing.About 20 minutes later, officers found a man matching a description given by 911 callers a block away from the scene.Police took the suspect, 27-year-old Ryan Fox, into custody and charged him with attempted murder, burglary and aggravated battery among other charges.Fox is being held in the Clark County Jail.The stabbing victim was taken to UofL Hospital for surgery and is reported to be in stable condition at this time.The Charlestown Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is continuing its investigation into the details of this incident.
