POLICE have charged a dog owner after a woman was injured by a Jack Russell Parsons.
The incident occurred on April 12 last year in Oxford when the brown and white dog, named Thorn, was ‘dangerously out of control’ on Cowley Road and injured Siye Li.
Georgia Buckingham, of Jeune Street, Oxford, was subsequently charged with being the owner/person in charge of a dog which was dangerously out of control causing injury.
The 61-year-old pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrates' Court on January 26 to the count.
She will now return to the same court for sentencing on March 11 at 2pm.
The course was adjourned for consideration to be made on whether the dog needs to be destroyed or not.
