Dangal actor Suhani Bhatnagar dies at 19, Aamir Khan Productions House confirms

Dangal actor Suhani Bhatnagar, who played young Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s movie, died on February 17 in Delhi. She was 19 years old. The Amir Khan Production House confirmed the news on the social media platform, X.

On her demise, the Khan’s production house expressed their shock and offered condolence to the family. Such a talented young girl, and such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. She will always remain a star in our hearts, the Amir Khan’s production said in a post on X.

Several reports suggest that Suhani had suffered from a leg fracture before, and the medication she received during the treatment caused a side effect. It is believed that her body started retaining fluid, which may have caused her untimely death. However, an official confirmation of the cause of her death is still pending.

As per the reports, Suhani was admitted to AIIMS hospital in Delhi for quite some time for treatment. Her last rites will take place on Saturday.

Suhani received fame after her role as young Babita Kumari Phogat in the 2016 film Dangal, where she starred alongside Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar and Zaira Wasim. She also appeared in a few commercials.

Suhani shot to fame with her debut film Dangal in which she shared the screen space with Aamir Khan.

In the film, she played the role of Babita Phogat, and with her performance, she made sure to be in the hearts of everyone.

Her co-star Zaira Wasim, who played the role of young Geeta Bhogat in the movie, also got fame and name. In 2017, she starred in the film Secret Superstar. Her last film was The Sky Is Pink, in the movie, she shared the screen space with Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. In the movie, she played the role of Priyanka and Farhan’s daughter.

The picture showed Akshay, Tiger, and the rest of their group decked up in all-black mud, striking goofy poses and flashing their muscles while grinning contagiously.

The Pathaan actor recently attended World Government Summit 2024 held recently in Dubai, where he was questioned about this period, during which he vanished from the film industry after 2018. He responded by saying that he was licking his wounds and was feeling sorry for himself.

The Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham actor said, he had huge flops, and they fared incredibly poorly. He was nursing his injuries. He then humourly said, he discovered how to cook the world’s best pizza. He created for himself a modest kitchen, learned how to make pizza, and stopped wanting to tell stories and listening to them. He acquired persistence. Because you have to cook a million square pizzas before you can make the ideal round one, he added.

Meanwhile, Dunki released in the theaters on the eve of Christmas, on December 21, marking one of the biggest hits of 2023.
