The Kevin & Perry star talks about the near-death experience that changed her life, being a ‘plastic Paddy’ and why she is no longer looking for love

Actor and director Kathy Burke is something of an expert when it comes to funerals and death. Her podcast, Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake, encourages celebrities and comedians to fantasise about their dream funeral. They cover everything — from the music to be played and headstone inscriptions to who they would like to deliver their eulogies.

It’s a morbid topic, but Burke has a warmth and funny bones, and there is a lightness and celebratory tone to the series.
